For us, organizing this trip, it’s very useful to know approximately how many people will join.

Having said that, people are free to decide at a much later moment. It would be nice if they fill in the form though, entering ‘undecided’ or ‘probably’. Makes it easier for us.

I found out yesterday that my uncle will be doing a tour of Switzerland in 2 weeks time, which is very similar to the route you planned.(only replacing our varied group with some 120 Cobra replicas, and other Shelby products) I’ll ask about his experiences when he returns and maybe we can use that to further finetune the route (though I think it’s probably good already)

I think the biggest challenge is to choose the right amount of driving time/distance per day. Not too short, not too long. Also, adding some rally-like elements to driving and finding non-driving activities.

I agree, apparently their longest day is 250km/6 hours of driving. Besed on their experiences we should be able to better gauge what a good driving time/distance would be in that area.

I think we can manage the current route averaging about 5h-5h30 a day (well, some days of 4h30, others of 6h30, depending on the passes). If we skip the Julier, Maloja and Splügenpasses and do the full San Bernardino from Chur instead, I think we could get that down to 4h30-5h. We’d miss out on a cheap(er) night in Italy though.

Did 1050 kilometers in it so far and I feel like at home in it. Steering is even lighter than in the Golf Plus though?

Anyways, I’m damn proud because it’s mine and paid for completely.

Hey ! I just registered (found the link on Jalop today), I hope this delay is not too much of an issue. I just have to check if my girlfriend is interested to tag along (potentially with her Civic 8 type R) and if I can for sure have some time off work before confirming my presence.

No problem, we’re using the preregistrations to have an idea of the number of people to account for during planning (activities, lodging, ...). Final confirmation deadline will probably be somewhere in July.

I’ve also followed you for Oppo, so you’re no longer gray over here. Be sure to check the rules though!
